February 2009 - Morgana Documaster and Square backed Booklets
It’s been a year now since we invested in the Morgana Documaster system, a completely automated, multi-functional digital finishing system that feeds pre-collated sheets, then creases, folds and staples the sheets to form a finished booklet all in one pass. The final part of the process is to Square Back the booklet, which is completely flat regardless of the number of pages within the publication. The square back system gives booklets a perfect bound appearance.
“We purchased the Documaster to deal with the increased volume of work produced by the iGen”, said Rhydian. “Without it we would have had to separate covers and inner stock and perform individual creasing and then re-collate them before booklet making which would have taken twice as long. At the time of purchase, we understand that there were only 50 Morgan Documaster in the country which proved of great benefit to our existing clients as well as a service we were able to offer other print companies who were looking for a high quality, cost effective option which only the square back system can provide”
